Quick Beta progress update
It's been some time since our last update. Between a crazy train of personal life obstacles and a tremendous amount of things we want to get into AdaptCMS, it's been a busy time. Luckily there is some news to announce.
AdaptCMS 4.0 Beta is on track for a release by early October.
We've been spending a lot of time refactoring, fixing bugs and planning for the CMS. The original plan was for the 4.0 final to have everything we had planned for, but a few factors forced me to re-evaluate. This doesn't mean we will be putting out a buggy CMS, or that it won't have many features at all. It simply means that some features that are "nice-to-have's" will be pushed to further releases and some huge features, as well.
The big positive about this means that we will be having a heavy focus on the basics until the release date - bug fixes, optimizations, security and ensuring the CMS has all the essentials it needs to have.
This also means spending the rest of the time building up a collection of themes and plugins to extend the CMS. We already have a new theme today - the Blog theme.
We'll have another blog up in the next week with some details of the upcoming changes/features of AdaptCMS Beta.
