There are many new features, re-done things and just new aspects to AdaptCMS 2.0 along with even more after the Beta is released. Here are some below:
- New Design - Both frontend and backend
- Social - Although still in the early stages, the social aspects of the web finally come to AdaptCMS - Profile, Status Updates, Friends, Blogs and more.
- Media - Re-Done media feature, heavily improving the previously lackluster feature in 1.x. Utilizing a better ACP interface, the differences also show on the web, where you can use a small simple PHP code to show media anywhere on any page.
- Skins - Also re-done, skins replaces "templates" now letting admins to add multiple skins (selectable by users or in the ACP) with templates attached. Now using Smarty for a better experience, with template caching to boot.
- Stats - Re-done, again, stats proves to be a much more lightweight feature using less queries and at the same time, being more effecient with a good-looking ACP page.
- Help - Leaving behind the bloated, multiple, support options AdaptCMS 2.0 tries to achieve a more interactive experience with the combination of the normal "Help" feature where staff can add/manage help files in an easy-to-use interface, also able to be shared with a new feature "Share" - letting adaptcms uers share there help files, skins, etc. with other users and lastly a re-done support feature that works more like a forum discussion topic.
- Admin Top Bar - Think of it as a mini-control panel. This small, yet nifty feature lets staff keep tabs on the latest site activity by simply clicking on a button without any loading. And if you are logged into the frontend, you can view it there as well!
